  1. Can i find replacements for the cover on the back that is held in by 4 alan head screws. 2 of the corners broke on the cover

    1. At this time, the replacement cover is not available for the oil control valve.

    1. This flow control valve has an automatic non-drip nozzle which will open and close automatically with the set volume.

  4. Can this meter show flow in decimals or just in whole numbers only?  If so, how?

    1. This meter shows flow in decimals when dispensing; there are three digits after the decimal point.

  5. Can this control valve and meter be used with a hand pump?

    1. The meter and control valve requires a minimum flow of 1.3 GPM so it is not recommended for use with a hand pump. It is preferred to be used with an electric or pneumatic pump.

  7. How does one go about calibrating and using this control valve? The manual has no explanation of how to calibrate and or use this.

    1. The meter can be calibrated as many times as desired. Calibration is needed to make the meter suitable for actual conditions. The following instructions can be found on page 6 of the manual.

      To enter Calibration Mode, perform the following steps:
      1. Enable the display by pressing any button.
      2. Wait for the display to enter Stand-by mode. (i.e. when the display shows TOTAL)
      3. Press the RESET button, which will reset the batch total and display the RESET TOTAL.
      4. While the RESET TOTAL is displayed, press the MODE button.
      5. At this point the meter is in Calibration mode and the “Cal” segment will be lit in the lower left hand corner of the display.
      6. The options for the volume that can be used during calibration will now be shown in the lower part of the display.
      7. They will toggle between 2, 4, 8, 20, 100, and 250 units. The current units are used in Calibration mode. In order to change units, see the “Sequence of setting the unit of measurement” section on page 2 of the manual.
      8. Pressing the MODE button while the desired volume is displayed (2, 4, 8, 20, 100, 250) will select that volume.
      9. Once the desired volume (2 units in this case) is selected, that volume will remain displayed in the bottom right part of the display.
      10. Now begin dispensing the fluid into the graduated sample container without pressing any key. Continue dispensing until the level of the fluid in the sample container has reached the desired graduated level (2 units in this case). The batch total will increment accordingly. Once the dispensing is complete, press the MODE button again.

  8. is this meter weather proof? want to install on a service bed.

    1. The fascia label plays a major role in making the meter weather proof since the buttons are just below it. If the sticker remains intact, the meter will remain weather proof.

  9. I want to fill 1 gallon cans with this is it easy to reset the amount or do I have to press multiple buttons to do this?

    1. This Roughneck control valve has a reset button which can be used to reset the meter.

  10. where can I get new batterys for this meter

    1. This meter uses one CR2450 coin battery which can be found most places where common batteries are sold. At this time, Northern Tool does not offer this replacement battery.
