  1. Will this meter work with bleach?

    1. This meter is designed for use with diesel, gasoline and biodiesel. It is not recommended for use with bleach.

  2. Does this show flow in GPM and then on the same face tell total volume in gallons passed through?

    1. This meter displays both the flow rate and the total volume on the same screen. It reads in pints, quarts, liters, and gallons.

  3. my inlet and out let is 1-1/2 how much would that restrict flow

    1. This fuel meter is designed to be used with 1" fittings. We do not recommend using it with anything larger or smaller as that can reduce the accuracy reading. It has not specifically been tested for use with 1-1/2" fittings.

  4. Will using an adapter to reduce from 1” to 3/4” reduce the accuracy?

    1. The fuel meter is to be used with 1" fittings. Using a 3/4" fitting can reduce the accuracy and flow. Northern Tool does offer item 67165 and 43754 for the 3/4" models.

  5. I have 3 fuel tanks to operate site vehicles and ATV's. 2 are deisel and 1 is gasoline. I want to monitor usage as vehicles are being fueled. Will this unit work?

    1. This fuel meter can be used with diesel and gasoline to measure in pints, quarts, gallons and liters as vehicles are being filled. It requires a minimum pressure of 14.5 PSI and 1 GPM flow.

  6. Can this unit be used to monitor GPM on a chill water system? How long should the 3 volt battery last?

    1. This meter is compatible with gasoline, diesel and biodiesel only. It is not designed for use in water systems. There are different factors which can cause the battery life to vary, so an expected time frame is not provided.

  7. Is it possible to use this unit on a gas engine vehicle to measure fuel flow from gas tank to engine ??? And if so, where would be the best place to hook it up, between gas tank & filter or between gas filter & engine ???

    1. This meter would not be able to measure the fuel flow on a gasoline powered vehicle engine. It is designed for use with fuel transfer pumps with a minimum flow of 1 gallon per minute.
