Sorry, You'll have to turn off the gas and take it off the wall to install the fan. However, that is no big deal if you're using the mounting bracket that comes with the ProCom heaters.

This blower mounts in the back of the ProCom heaters. The heater would have to be removed from the wall to install the blower.

How does this turn off the flame?
Well I just recieved this fan and i installed it, but I dont see how this is capable of turning off the flame like reviews stated. The air flow i have noticed is also very poor? any help would be great?

The blower doesn't turn off the flame. The thermostat
( black knob with numbers) is the temp setting. This turns off the flame. The blower motor is heat activated.
When the temperature goes down the blower shuts off..Helpful?

The ProCom automatic/manual thermostat blower does not turn the flame on or off. It comes on automatically when the heater comes on or can be turned on or off manually by the user. The fan has only one speed for air flow.

Is there a required distance from the rear wall required for this fan to opperate ?
I plan to install this fan within the ProCom MD300TGA which is has the rear of the heater against the wall. It appears that this fan will be mounted against the rear of the heater so it too shall be against the wall. How is air suppose to flow through the fan if there is no plenum space for the fan ? The instructions are not clear.

There are two spacers which come with the heater.
The wall mount holds the heater away from the wall so the blower can get enough air. There are two white spacers which comewith the heater and they go on the bottom (wall side) of the heater to give it space.Helpful?

If you are using the supplied mounting bracket for the heater you will have no problem with this fan. It flush mounts on the rear of the heater body and has plenty room for drawing in air.

No, This ProCom heater is made to be mounted against a wall, the blower and heater housing allow enough space for air to flow correctly.

Would this work on a fireplace with ventless logs?
-
1riverkabin· 10 years ago
No. The blower for a log is at the back of the logs and the unit has to be compatible for a blower.

Anybody know the speed 'CFM' of this blower?
-
1riverkabin· 10 years ago
This blower will blow enough air for the heater.
If a faster fan is used it would blow cooler air.
I have five heaters with fans and they do work well.
Pro Com spends a lot of time working these things out.Helpful?

ProductExpert6· 15 years ago
The fan turns at 106 RPM and has an approximate 190 CFM rating.

Can the power outlet be beside the heater or how far away should it be?
I have installed the fan, but need to install the outlet for the plug. How far should it be and what direction is most safe? Beside, above?

The ProCom Blower is designed to fit into the top portion of the ProCom vent free heaters. It features a 6 foot power cord that can be plugged into any 120 volt wall outlet. There is not a clearance requirement for the blower power cord so it can be plugged in on any side of the heater.

How and where is the thermostat? is it adjustable?

The ProCom thermostat blower works in conjunction with the heater thermostat. When connected to the heater, you can manually have it run continuously or automatically come on when temperature goes below setting.

Looking for a composting toilet ventilation blower
How is this a "thermostat" blower. Can you set a temperature range? I don't see a temperature dial. I am looking for a 110-volt ventilation fan about 4"x4" that is quiet, low amperage and can run continuously if needed. Any ideas?

The ProCom Automatic/Manual Thermostat Blower is designed for proprietary use only with certain ProCom heaters. Northern Tool currently does not sell any bathroom ventilation fans.
