This Precision Tow-Behind Broadcast Spreader holds up to 200 lbs. in its heavy-duty poly hopper and broadcasts with a 10- to 12ft. spread pattern. A rugged steel frame holds the hopper and the rugged metal gears with grease zerk for smooth operation and easy lubrication. 15in. pneumatic tires provide a smooth ride across rough ground, and won't damage soft sod or new plantings like solid plastic wheels can. Control the spread radius and turn the spreader on and off right from the seat of your riding mower, tractor, ATV pr UTV. Ideal for use with seed, fertilizer, halite, salt, ice melt and more.   4. How many pounds speed at a 3 setting

    1. It would be recommended to use 3 pounds per 1000 ft. You can calculate which setting to use depending on what fertilizer, seed, or insecticide is being used, which can be calculated on page 7 in the manual.

  5. Since the spreader does 360 degrees, does it have a feature (baffle plate) to prevent product being thrown onto my lawn mower, or whatever I tow it with???

    1. The spreader will have a directional slide lever that controls the spread direction. This also serves as a deflector so that the material doesn't spread forward toward the tractor/vehicle that is towing it.

  6. Is this spreader adjustable rate?

    1. Calculate or find the rate setting for the product being spread. See the calculation chart in the manual. Slide the control handle to the calculated flow rate and set the indicator using the wing nut.

    1. If your unit is 2 years or newer the replacement gear box would be part #2149, available through the manufacturer. If the unit is older than 2 years, replacement parts are not available for it, as the unit was redesigned and the newer part would not work with them.
