  1. Is the chute self-feeding on this chipper unit?

    1. Branches that reach beyond the mouth of the feed hopper will likely bind and you'll have to feed it. Balsam fir limbs usually feed pretty good. Ash limbs are a pain and must be fed. That, and be careful not to feed too much small stuff - it won't chip and it'll likely plug things up. Also, green wood will feed and chip a lot better than dry.

    2. Nothing actually pulls it in, but it seems to, must just be gravity and design

    3. No! The chute is designed to gravity feed, but the chipping blades do pull material in when they engage an obstacle.

    4. The operator would need to manually feed the product into the chute. It is not self-feeding.

    Does this chipper have an anvil that the cutting knives cut against? If so, is it replaceable or adjustable?

    1. Yes it does have one and you can adjust it

    1. No, but remove two blots and remove it is easy.

    we need to chip windfall in our forested property and must roll it on the trails manually - need to know the actual weight of the machine

    1. I would estimate 275 lbs. It is a handful, but balances well.

    1. This Powerhorse Chipper is designed for hand-pull only. A tow bar is not available.
