HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE GENERATOR I NEED?

HOW TO CALCULATE
Running watts needed: Total running watts of ALL items to be powered by the generator.
Starting watts needed: Add highest SINGLE starting watt to total running watts needed above.

EXAMPLE

  1. Calculate running watts
    Furnace 600 + Lamp 100 + Microwave 1000 + Refrigerator 700 = Total running watts 2400
  2. Calculate starting watts
    Total running wattage 2400 + Refrigerator 2200 = Total starting watts 2400

QUICK REFERENCE WATTAGE

1200-1800 watts examples: power tools, coffee maker, heat stove. 2800-3800 watts examples: refrigerator, electric table saw, clothes washer. 5500-12000 watts examples: air compressor, electric furnance, clothes dryer.

  9. This model is a equipped with a oil filter but I can not find a part number for it can you please provide a link or part number to reference so it can be changed with the oil?

    1. At this time, the oil filter is only available with the base kit. The kit is sold as part #PH6075687.EK10 and it is available through our sister company, Jacks Small Engines. Please visit www.JacksSmallEngines.com for pricing and availability.

  10. Is it difficult to change the motor oil?

    1 answer

    1. Please use the following steps to change the oil in the engine.

      1. Operate the generator for 3 to 5 minutes to thin the engine oil for easier draining.
      2. Ensure that the engine is stopped and on a level surface.
      3. Remove the drain bolt and washer; drain the engine oil into an approved container.
      4. Reinstall the washer and drain bolt.
      5. Remove the oil level dipstick and clean it.
      6. Remove the oil filler cap from the oil filler neck.
      7. Fill the crankcase at the oil filler neck with the recommended oil quantity.
      8. Reinsert the dipstick. Rest on the tube neck, remove the dipstick, and check that the oil level is to the upper limit mark on the oil level dipstick. If the oil level is too low, add more engine oil.
      9. Reinstall the oil level dipstick and oil filler cap securely.
