    1. The Portacool Apex 700 provides strong airflow but only offers a minimal cooling effect of 1 to 4 degrees Fahrenheit in South Carolina's high humidity. This is due to its limited evaporation efficiency, as evaporative coolers need dry air to function effectively.

    1. The cooling pads or media set, is our item 6007561 (Model #PACHT700K). How often they need to be replaced will depend on the use. They should be replaced if they become damaged, contaminated or clogged.

  7. Does it need to be connected to an outside air flow or can will it work in an enclosed environment with no way to connect to a window or any kind of outside vent?

    1. The evaporative cooler is not designed to be placed in an enclosed environment. It can be in a semi enclosed environment if the back of the cooler is exposed to the warm outside air to pull through the cooler and push the cooler air out the front. The cooler requires a proper amount of air flow. You may need to open a door or window when in use.
