  1. With geothermal water outflow onto the yard. Can this pump only run when water is coming out? Can you suggest anything?

    1. The water pump can outflow geothermal water onto your yard if it is configured correctly. There are strict operating and temperature limits that would need to be monitored to prevent damaging the pump. The pump can only run when water is flowing through it, it cannot be run dry.

  2. How many PSI in water pressure will this add. My correct well pressure is 40 to 50 psi depending on the time of day. I would like to have it at 60 on average.

    1. This pump would add approximately 50 PSI to your existing PSI.

  3. I want to pump pond water for irrigation. What type of screen do I need for the pond end?

    1. The pump is intended to be used to pump clean clear water. It would not be recommended to be used to pump water from a pond.

  4. How do you prime it?

    1. To prime the pump you would fill the discharge port with water until it overflows. Make sure the intake lines are filled with water, then the pump will be primed.

    1. This pump does not have an automatic switch. The Pedrollo EasyPress Electronic Pressure Regulator, item 64128, would be recommended to allow the pump to be restarted automatically.

  7. can this be used with a nozzle for clay slip for ceramic pouring applications

    1. The pump could not be used with a nozzle for clay slip. It can be used with clean water only.

  8. There is a small 1/4" port on top which is plugged with a brass cap fitting. It is right beside the 1" outlet. Is this where I should connect the pressure switch?

    1. The pressure switch should be connected to a two-way or three-way fitting. The fitting should be connected to the 1” outlet of the pump.

  9. Will the pump cycle on / off as landscape valves open and close. Can power be applied for extended time when no water is called for? Is the pressure adjustable?

    1. The pump does not include a controller to turn itself on/off as the valves open and close. For the pump to function in this manner, you would need to purchase the Easypress controller item number 64128. This does not allow adjustment of pressure.

  10. I need to increase water flow at end of  300 ft of 3/4” hose. My shop water outlet is 1” with pump delivery pressure 40# with full flow at water outlet. Will flow be increased with Pedrollo booster pump by what %?  Thank you, Burt

    1. This pump can output around 10gpm if using a 1” hose. Using a 3/4” hose would constrict the flow rate by 25%, so the pump may only output around 7gpm.
