This 12-blade Outdoor Water Solutions Windmill Head Kit aerates a pond or lake from the bottom up, reducing algae, bacteria and odor. The wind-driven system adds oxygen and prevents pond stratification, helping to reduce fish kills. Aeration also keeps ponds from freezing over in the winter, aiding waterfowl hunting. Kit includes 100ft. of poly tubing and an Airstone diffuser. This windmill head will fit on most windmill towers (not included).

    1. The windmill has a self governing head that allows it to turn itself out of the wind at 35-40 mph winds. As the winds subside, it will re-orient itself and start again.

    1. This will have zerk fitting for greasing as needed and regular maintenance.

  5. Does this windmill require electrical grounding in case of lightning strikes? If so, is it included with the hardware? If not, where can I find instructions on how to install grounding wire and rod?

    1. If metal stakes are used for securing the tower in the ground, a grounding rod is not required.

    1. The unit is designed to aerate a pond or lake from the bottom up. It would not be rated to pump water.
