  1. what is overall height of 16' windmill(model #aws0012) including fan?

    1. This windmill aeration system is approximately 19' tall overall (this includes the height of the blades).

    2. The actual height will be closer to 19' once fully assembled. The tower measures 16' and the head measures 73". Half of hte head or approximately 3' sits above the tower making the actual combined height 19' tall.

  2. Would this work as a pump for watering animals?

    what other parts would I have to purchase?

    1. no, it pumps air to aerate our pond.

    2. This windmill does not pump water. It puts air in water. There is nothing you could purchase that would turn this windmill into a water pump. It is an aeration system only.

  5. What kind of weather can it stand? Example high winds and maybe hail at times?

    1. The Windmill is designed to be secured using concrete stabilized anchors. The self-governing head will help protect the unit during high winds. Hail damage can be an issue with any equipment depending on the diameter of the stone.

  6. Can someone comment on how loud or much noise it makes as I am looking at an install by my remote cabin?

    1. The manufacturer does not test the windmill aerators for a decibel rating. They do state they are very quiet.

  7. What is the depth rating? How deep can the water be for it function?

    1. The windmill aerator will work in water with a depth of up to 30 feet.

  8. What is the recommended securement to the ground. Should it be anchored to concrete or how do the ground stakes hold up over time with higher winds...would they eventually start to lift from the ground?

    1. Per the manufacturer, the 4' ground rod stakes included with this should be secured with cement. They should also be driven into the ground at least 3'. The windmill can be installed on and anchored to a cement pad as well.

    1. The warranty on this system is 5 years on the compressor and 3 years on the tower. There is a check valve in the air line.
