Some electric sharpeners have a minimum angle that you can sharpen, but if you are using ripping chains for milling logs, you need to sharpen at a very blunt angle of between 5-15 degrees. Most chains for cutting firewood or felling trees are sharpened at 30-35 degrees. Some sharpeners can't be adjusted to a more blunt angle than about 20 degrees, but if this sharpener is capable of being adjusted to an angle of 10 degrees, it would be particularly attractive to people who are using a portable chainsaw mill--usually you are very close to a vehicle, and could utilize the 12v power. Chainsaw millers are of particular need to keep their chains at maximum cutting efficiency.
