This Optima Scale Weigh Bar System with Two Bars is portable and easy to move out of the way when not in use. Ideal for use under a manual chute, this system features weigh beam scales that can be spread 8ft. apart to handle long or unusual-shaped loads. Designed for general use, including at farms and zoos to weight animals of all sizes, thanks to the animal weighing indicator. The built-in animal-hold feature makes livestock weighing easier, and extra-large adjustable stainless steel level feet provide stability. This unit delivers an accurate reading no matter how lively an animal is. By simply mounting a platform, crate or chute on top, this unit becomes an effective animal weighing scale. Heavy-duty mild steel construction with a powder-coat finish features all-enclosed tubular weigh bars. 4 NTEP approved alloy steel load cells are nickel-plated for corrosion resistance. Bright LCD indicator is 0.9in.H, backlit and includes an lb./kg. conversion. It is easy to read, even in direct sunlight. Load cells include internal wiring.   1. was wondering how the weigh bars attached to the scale head? are they a 4 or 5 prong plug? , and how long are the cords on the weigh bars? also how is the scale powered? 120 outlet or some form of battery? thanks

    1. The weigh bars will attach by plugging them into the scale head. They would have a 5 prong plug. The cords would about 15 feet long. It would have a battery. It would run about 8-10 hours and would need to be plugged into a 120 volt outlet to recharge.

  2. On this weigh bar system, will it with stand being mounted under my Priefert Squeeze chute which is anchored to concrete? Also, the recharger is it on each weigh bar?

    1. This system has a 10,000 lbs. weight capacity. There are mounting holes in the feet of the weigh bars and on top of the beams for a platform to be mounted to. The battery power is provided through the indicator readout, not the individual weigh bars.

    1. Currently Northern Tool would not carry parts for this Optima Scale. You may contact the manufacturer for replacement parts.

    1. This weigh bar system is the standard model/version. We do not carry the heavy-duty weigh bar system.
