  1. Can the fairlead be positioned on the other side. Looking to mount to a hoist, but the boom when parked it is tight to a right side wall, then I swing the boom counter clockwise for use.

    1. Using the fairlead off the back would not be advisable as the cable would spool off the top of the drum, rather than the bottom.

  2. Can you change out the rope to a longer one?

    1. The winch will come with a 3/16" 15.7 foot wire rope. It is unable to have a longer rope replaced on the winch.

  3. Does this have a safety cutoff in the event its not pulling freely?

    1. The CH500 is designed to pull to the winch/hoist max capacity. It is recommended from the manufacturer to add a 30 amp circuit breaker to the positive lead from the battery.

  6. What type of controller comes with this, it mentions a 9' controller/cord but no image is provided. Also can this be ordered with synthetic rope and is there a Hass fairlead available?

    1. This winch includes a pendent remote control with two buttons for IN and Out. At this time, we do not offer this winch with a synthetic rope option. It is equipped with a 4-way roller fairlead.
