  1. Is this Cat 0 or Cat 1?

    The product is advertised as Category 1, but the Q&A notes that it has 3/4" holes for the lower link pins. That would indicate Cat 0 pins. Is it Cat 0 or Cat 1?

    1. It's Cat 1. I have a limited Cat 1 hitch and it fit perfectly. This means proper cat 1 pins but reduced ground clearance. The upper position on the subsoiler worked perfectly.

  3. Rock removal in soil

    Would this be helpful and strong enough in removing rocks on a horse trail instead of buying a complete backhoe attachment? (NorTrac Sub soiler.)

    What is cost of replacement teeth?

    1. This subsoiler is designed to loosen compacted soil. It is not designed to remove or break rocks. When being used as designed, rocks can be dislodged from the compacted soil. Replacement tooth part

    2. That is not the normal use but I have used one to remove chunks of concrete and didn't have any issues at all. I mounted the shank backwards and backed the into the concrete while lifting the hitch to roll the concrete out of the ground. For the price it is well worth trying.

  4. Does it run off my 3 point. How deep will it dig

    1. This requires a 3 point connection. The depth this unit will dig depends on the size of subcompact tractor and the 3 point hitch depth control setting. This has a maximum depth of 14".
