  1. will the 72in Snow Thrower work on 30 HP tractor

    Most 3 pt Snow throwers have a PTO HP range like 30 to 50 HP. What is the range for the 72'

    1. This will work on tractors up to 50 hp.

    2. I have switch my hand crank over to a 12 volt system by using a 12 volt scissor jack. It was easy and inexpensive. It has a sealed motor and it also has a gearbox so it gives it allot of torque and turns at the same spend as doing it by hand.
      If you need more information on this just ask and I'll try to answer.

    4. In reading through the documentation that shipped with the Agriease 72" blower, the manufacturer cautions more about using too large of a tractor than using a tractor with less horsepower. Although I bought this snow blower for use with my 40hp tractor, I also have an older 32hp tractor and that has plenty of power to run this unit. So, your 30hp tractor should be just fine.

    Will it fit in an eight foot bed pick-up?

    2. My came on a pallet. It might fit in a pickup if you can turn it side ways.

    3. It will easily fit in your pickup bed. It's strapped to a pallet, so any forklift can set it in your truck. Make sure you strap it down securely as it wobbles a great deal even when strapped to the pallet. I have a set of fork blades that I attach to my loader bucket and used this to unload the blower from the back of the semi that delivered it. It was not the most stable load I have ever moved but I was able to get it lowered to the ground without incident.

  3. would like more information about thrower.

    does the thrower model #BE-SBS72G have grease fittings on auger ? can the crank handle that turns the chute be ajusted to be higher to reach from tractor? are there skid shoes that ajust on the thrower bottom ? does the thrower come with pto shaft ?

    1. This snow thrower includes grease zerks on the auger. The crank handle is in a fixed position and is not adjustable. There are skid shoes on the bottom of the unit to adjust the height. The PTO shaft is included.

    2. Yes on the grease fittings. No on the crank. Yes it does come with skid shoes that are adjustable. Yes it comes with a pto shaft with quick release pins.

    3. Like the rest of the snow blower, the skid shoes look very stout, but if needed, new shoes could easily be welded onto the brackets.

      I did quite a bit of research on this unit and discovered that it has been designed to eventually accept a hydraulic motor for the chute.I was informed that motors will not appear as an option this year but should be available next season.

      As far as "adjusting" the chute crank handle, I don't think it would take much to add a knuckle to the existing handle and build a support arm to allow the additional handle to be angled up towards the operator's seat. But, this would require some modification of the snow blower. Not sure how that would affect the warranty

      Another inexpensive option to consider (which would not require any modifications) would be to find a used 12-volt "seat motor" from a salvage yard. Many people have used these motors to turn the chute. They have lots of torque and the speed is just right. Do a search on your favorite video site for "Snowblower Electric Chute modification" and you'll see how others have added this feature.

  10. My tractor has 540 pto. But it is not live pto. It is transmission drive. And starts and stops when the clutch peddle is pushed. Will this be a problem? Will it create added stress to the unit?
