  1. Garden hose

    With this pump have enough power to run water through a 75 ft. garden hose? If I am just getting the water from a 200 gallon water tank.

    2. It should pump water that far I was using one to pump water through a half inch hose at 250 ft long work just fine. You may have to let it repressurise with that size hose.

  2. Is this pump adjustable?

    1. It depends upon what you mean by adjustable. It is a single speed, single pressure unit. You can adjust flow through the wand.

    2. The shut-off pressure switch on this pump is preset and factory calibrated. It should not be adjusted. Any adjustment to the pressure switch setting may cause severe overload and/or premature failure. Failures due to adjusting the pressure switch setting are not covered by the pump's warranty.

  3. does this pump come with the quick connect fittings?

    1. Yes it does but you still have to hardwire it first then you can just plug and play.

    2. This on-demand diaphragm pump has 3/4" quick-connect ports. It doesn't include the quick-connect fittings for the hose ends. Click the links below to view 3/4" quick-connect fittings.

  4. will water pass through this pump when it is not running?

    I want to use this pump to initiate a siphon, then allow water to flow through it. If this will not work, can you recommend one that will? Thanks 12v pump 2685562

    1. water should NOT flow when the pump is not running.

    2. The NorthStar On-Demand pump will stop the flow of water when the demand is ended. We are unable to provide a pump that will allow a flow of this type.

    1. The center to center bolt hole spacing measures 2-1/4" front to back and 3" left to right.

    1. A 25 gallon tank or larger is recommended for use with this 5.5 GPM pump; however, a smaller tank or even a bucket can be used, they would just need to be filled more frequently.

  9. What kind of battery is needed to run the pump consistently? Seems to drain and kill all batteries after a day.

    1. This requires a 12V, 12Ah battery minimum. A larger battery Amp hour rating would be needed if you are looking to get longer run times between charging.

  10. Why is this pump not rated for water?

    1. This pump can be used for spraying water and water based solutions. It is not rated for transferring drinking water because of the pump materials and the manufacturing process.
