This NorthStar Gas Cold Water Pressure Washer is built with the power and durability you need for blasting grime off the deck, grease off the driveway, mold off the siding or handling dozens of other tough-to-tackle jobs. It comes equipped with a dependable Briggs & Stratton CR950 OHV engine that features a Dura-Bore cast iron sleeve, low oil shutdown, forged crankshaft and a horizontal shaft design for up to 5x longer life than vertical shaft engines.   1. Can I turn down the psi

    1 answer

    1. The pressure washer does not have an adjustable pressure unloader on the pump. You may reduce the pressure by reducing the engine throttle. The slower the engine, the lower the flow rate and system pressure. Also, increasing the distance between the spray tip and the surface being cleaned. Stepping backwards from the spraying surface will lower the pressure to the item.

  2. Is there auto low idle when wand trigger is off?

    1. The pressure washer does not come with auto idle. Always turn off the engine and activate the spray gun trigger to relieve system pressure when not in use.

  3. Where do I connect my chemical injector ??

    1. This pressure washer includes a downstream chemical injector. Press the braided chemical hose over the chemical injector located on the top of the pump. Submerge the suction strainer that is at the end of the chemical hose into a bucket containing the chemical solution.

    1. The connections on the hose from the spray gun to the pump have M22 fittings.

  6. What is the hp of the GR950 brigs engine

    1. The engine is a 208 CC engine. The manufacturer does not provide a HP rating. Historically, this would be approximately a 7 HP engine.

  7. Can I use a 100 feet hose instead of the 25 feet that comes with it

    1. You would be able to double the 25 ft to a 50 ft hose without losing any pressure. Using 100 ft hose you would loose up to 7 pounds per square inch of pressure.

    1. The bolt and spring assembly under the black cover is a fixed (non-adjustable) unloader valve.
