There is no inlet adapter available for this model to connect a hose for water intake in place of submerging the pump.

For temporary use with clean water only, the bottom strainer/base of the pump can be removed to help reduce the remaining water level. However, this configuration should be used only temporarily and only with clean water. Extra care should be taken to prevent debris, sediment, or other contaminants from entering the pump, as doing so could cause damage to the unit.

This pump is primarily designed for general dewatering applications, including water, rainwater, groundwater, and water containing sand or mud. It is not intended for use with oil, lubricants, or petroleum-based liquids.

If the wastewater pit contains only minimal oil contamination and the pump is operated for short periods only, temporary use may be acceptable. However, the pump must be thoroughly flushed and cleaned with clean water after each use to remove any oil residue.

This pump has a cast iron impeller.

This pump is equipped with a single-phase induction motor. The use of a VFD with a standard single-phase motor is not recommended, as it may lead to overheating, capacitor failure, or reduced motor lifespan. If the discharge needs to be adjusted, we recommend using a manual ball valve on the discharge side to regulate the flow.

Although it is possible to reduce the output pipe to 3/4", this modification may increase back pressure, reduce flow, and place additional stress on the motor. If this reduction is required, maintain short tubing and avoid elbows or constrictions to minimize performance loss caused by pipe resistance.

A check valve on the discharge line would help prevent backflow and pressure cycling. Otherwise, a bypass/relief valve offers an alternative route for excess water to prevent system overpressure.

A water level of 3.93" (10cm) is suggested to ensure proper pumping.

This is a 1/2 HP pump.

This pump does not have a float switch. A float switch is not available for it. It does not have an on or off switch. You would just need to plug it into a 120 volt outlet and unplug it when it is done.
