The NorthStar c225 Horizontal OHV Engine with Recoil Start is designed for the most demanding commercial applications. The 1000-hour engine provides enough power to run a wide range of equipment, including pressure washers, compressors, log splitters and chippers/shredders. This engine is reliable, easy starting and meets EPA standard levels across 49 states. Patent Protected. The NorthStar c225 engine is a great replacement engine for: Honda: GX160, (163cc), GC160, (160cc), Briggs & Stratton: XR950, (208cc), Kohler: CH260, (208cc), CH270, (208cc), Yamaha: MZ200, (192cc), Kawasaki: FJ1300, (133cc), FJ1800, (179cc).

  2. How does this engine produce 13ft-lb of torque with only 225cc? Does the engine have an alternator/stator?

    1. This engine and other 220cc Powerhorse engines designed by and manufactured for Northern Tool are commonly rated for 13 ft.-lbs. of torque because they are designed that way. This engine is not equipped with an alternator or charging circuit to charge a battery.
