    1. Looking at the pump with the flywheel end directly in front of you, the rotation is counter-clockwise.

  2. What is the outlet fitting type and size?

    I am putting this on a tank that has a 1/2 inch compression fitting inlet.

    1. The outlet fitting is a 5/8 compression fitting. I had the same issue, and used a 5/8 to 1/2 reduction fitting to reach the tank's check valve. I was unable to find a check valve that had the same tank threads with a 5/8 inlet. I didn't have any performance issues

  8. This compressor is rated at a max of 130 psi, what's stops it from building over that?

    1. There are typically two types of control systems depending on if the prime mover is a gas/diesel engine or electric motor. For an electric motor, the device that limits the maximum pressure is a pressure switch. It is plumbed into the compressor air tank to sense tank pressure and will cut electrical power to the electric motor when the maximum pressure is achieved. For a gas/diesel engine, the device that limits the maximum pressure is called a Pilot Valve. Since gas/diesel engines cannot typically be automatically started and stopped, the pilot valve simply diverts the air flow from the compressor pump into either the tank or the atmosphere. It is also plumbed into the compressor air tank. When below the maximum pressure, air is added into the tank. When the maximum pressure is reached, it stops adding air to the tank and instead sends the air to the atmosphere.

    1. The bolt pattern is 8.425 inches wide and 4.724 inches front to back. The bolt holes are 0.374 inches.

    1. To determine the motor pulley diameter, use the below equation.

      Pump RPM (1396) x Flywheel diameter (10.5) divided by the RPM of the motor would equal the the pulley diameter.
