  2. Is this trailer strong enough to haul a 800 pound motorcycle 1000 miles?

    I am looking for a trailer that I can haul a 800 motorcyle from Florida to Ohio and then back. Has anyone done this much travelling with this trailer?

  3. Does this bolt together? or does it come welded?

    1. You must bolt it together to assemble it. I sorted out all the nuts, bolts and washers and put them in labeled piles before I started assembly. It took half an hour or so but was well worth the time. Assembly was easy.and I am not an expert at this stuff.

    I was wondering if the end of the trailer wiring harness is a flat multi-male end type or if it was a round model that would plug into a smaller trailer adapter style plug?

    1. It's a flat, male, four-wire, type.

  5. How have you people secured 2x4 boards or plywood to the deck? Did you drill into the frame?

    1. I used 3/4" treated plywood, and carriage bolts running through the frame's existing holes. The wider cross-piece has pairs of holes, and that's where the seam between the two 4' x 5' pieces of plywood goes.

    I know its 11 gauge thick, Just need to know what size the tubing is. Thank you!

    1. The frame is not tubing, it is a C frame. The sides are 3" tall and the tops and bottoms of the C are 2".

    2. This trailer features rails that are a C shape, they're not completely enclosed or a tube. The rails are 3-1/8" high.

  7. Does the trailer fold for storage?

    1. No, not this model. The folding models have bars on the rear of the trailer that have wheels for folding and rolling.

    2. Walls can be added to the Northern Industrial Heavy-Duty Trailer. Making sure they are properly secured would be the users responsibility. Northern Tool does sell stake pockets that may make it easier to install sides. See link below.

  9. Do you sell high-speed hubs and tires that would allow using this trailer at highway speeds?

    1. I use this trailer to transport an ATV and drive at highway speed with no problem. I recently repacked the wheel bearings and all looked well.

    2. Northern Tool does sell high speed wheels and tires, but would not be intended for use with this trailer. The axle, spindles and other components are all rated for a maximum recommended speed of 45 MPH.
