    1. We have the 30,000 BTU heater and the fan forces the air out the vents in the front of the heater.

    1. The switch on the fan allows you to be able to turn on manually or have the fan come on and off automatically.

    2. You can set it to do either, there is a three way switch that allows it to be Off, On or Auto.

      I set mine on auto. It works good and do not required changing setting on the heater.
      Without the blower, the heater works with just radiant heat. (See my answer on the heater unit)

    Since this unit mounts to the back of the heater that means that it cannot be wall mounted with the blower attached? Correct?

    1. The fan is flush mounted in the back of heater and has no effect on wall mounting.

    2. We have the 30,000 BTU heater, there is a panel on the back of the heater to insert the fan, It fits flush with the back of the heater, so does not interfere with wall mount. We're glad we opted to get the blower.

    4. Wrong. Most of the blower fits inside . There is a small panel on the back of the heater you have to remove and the fan is pretty much flush with the heater. Wall fitting is no problem at all. It is easy to install too.

    5. The heater is designed with a spacer in the back of the heater that allows for air circulation to the blower fan. The heater can be mounted on a wall.

  4. Where does this mount on the heater?

    1. The blower actually goes in to the back of the heater.
      Their is a blank plate with four screws that you remove. The blower goes in that part of the heater and sits flush using the four screws to hold it in place.
      No drilling or changes are needed.
      It is beneficial to have a 110 outlet within 3 feet of where you place the heater. (see my picture)

    Can the 10,000 BTU heater be modified for this fan, or is there another fan that fits? Also, is there a gas thermostat available for the 10,000 BTU unit?

    1. This fan is for the 20,000-30,000 BTU models and will not work with the 10,000 BTU model. There is not a fan or a thermostat available for the 10,000 BTU model.

    2. No, this fan is specifically designed for the 20,000-30,000 BTU units and we have no alternative available for the 10,000 BTU model, nor is there a thermostat available for the 10,000 BTU unit, this is another component specific to the 20,000-30,000 BTU models.

    1. The blower does not have an outlet pipe. It is designed to fit the Mr. Heater vent-free blowers and fits within the designated compartment of the heater. The overall dimensions of the blower are 6.25" long x 5.5" wide x 5.5" high.

    1. The starting amp draw is approximately 4.5 amps. The running amp draw is 1.5 amps.
