Product Summary

This Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ String Trimmer Kit with QUIK-LOK™ has the power to clear thick brush fast, delivering 6,200 RPM with up to a 16in.W cutting swath. The versatile M18 Fuel system is made up of 2 components, an M18 Fuel power head, plus a QUIK-LOK string trimmer attachment. The QUIK-LOK attachment system offers the ability to quickly swap out other attachments (sold separately) in the M18 Fuel system to handle additional yard chores when the string trimming is done. Operates off the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ High Output™ XC 8.0 battery pack system, using REDLINK PLUS™ intelligence hardware and software to ensure optimal power, performance and the extended run time you need without bogging down on the jobsite. Kit includes M18™ REDLITHIUM™ High Output™ XC 8.0 battery pack and M18™/M12™ rapid battery charger.

  1. How long does the battery last? Like how many hours in a day before it needs to be charged again?

    1. Ours only runs about 30-40 min before recharge. We have large property so took nearly 5 recharges to get the whole yard done. Took 30 min to recharge battery each time.

    2. This trimmer comes with an 8.0 Ah battery which can run up to 45 min on the highest setting. This can vary depending on what is being trimmed.

  2. May I use my old style 18 volt Batteries.

    In some of the adds it says any Milwaukee 18volt batteries

    1. To feed out the line, bump it against the ground gently while running a normal speed.

    1. The trimmer uses dual 0.08-0.095-inch cutting line.

  7. How much vibration doe this have? I currently have a gas trimmer, and am looking for something with less vibration so my hands do not swell up as much. I have mostly Milwaukee tools and would like to stay with this brand if it fits

    1. Vibration is caused by the gas engine on a gas trimmer. The model 2825-21ST is battery powered. There will be no vibration.

  8. How to reload new line

    1. To reload new line first remove the battery and push the tabs on the trimmer head to remove the cap. Once the cap is open you can loop both ends of the cable around the middle notch. The cable ends will be secured in the top two notches and then placed in the cutter to re-attach the spool head.
