The Mile Marker Rhino Pull 1000 24 Volt DC Portable Winch will give you the power and portability to pull items almost anywhere, including the garage, workshop, farm, forest and more. No electrical outlet needed. This winch lifts or pulls (vertical or horizontal) up to 1,000 lbs. The ergonomically designed tool features 39ft. of synthetic rope, a variable-speed hand controller, a wireless control that can work from up to 50ft. away and a corded remote to use if the remote battery fails you. Operates on a DC 24V 2.5AH Lithium battery with power indictor LED lights. Includes AC/DC charger.

  1. Can I use in my enclosed trailer?

    1. The winch is able to be used in an enclosed trailer. You will need to allow the winch adequate ventilation. The winch may over heat over time. The winch is not waterproof. It must be kept in a dry area away from moisture and condensation.

  2. Can I purchase an extra battery with the purchase of the winch?

    1. The specific replacement battery is the Mile Marker 71-1000-29 Rhino Pull replacement battery. This can be purchased through Mile Marker direct.

  3. Does the battery come off the unit to be charged?

    1. Attach the battery to the winch. Insert the power cord of the charger into a standard power outlet. Then you will insert the plug of the charger into the charging port located on the winch.

  4. This winch does not free spool out... under power what is the line speed going out?

    1. The line Speed(m/min) at the first layer 2.1, second layer 3.5, third layer 3.9 and at the fourth layer 4.4.

  5. What is the duty cycle for Rhino Pull 1000 ?

    1. When pulling a full load, the winch can run for 1 minute, then should be allowed to rest for 10 minutes.

    1. Northern Tool does not carry a 300 or 500 Lb cordless winch.

  7. Can the synthetic rope be taken out and replaced with steel cable?

    1. The winch is designed to work with synthetic rope only.

    1. This unit does have a Winch Out option to lower a load with power.

  10. The description says it includes a wired remote in "case the battery fails." Does that mean it can also be plugged in?

    1. You can connect the remote to the winch to operate it, if the battery fails. If the battery has no charge in it, you would need to recharge it, the battery or the remote would not work. The winch has a built in charger and would need to be plugged into a 120 volt outlet to charge it.
