  1. Is this recommended for use on AW-32 type hydraulic oil?

    Is the model capable to handle a 5 micron filter? Want to pre-filter the oil in a 55 gal. drum to get in specs before we put new oil in our units as new hydraulic oil does not meet them specs.

    1. It can be used on any hydraulic oil. You should be able to swap out the filter for a lower micron rating. I personally have changed it to a 3 micron and it works great.

    2. This unit will work with AW-32 hydraulic oil. LiquiDynamics does make a 5 micron filter for this unit as well. For price and availability please contact our Parts Department at 1.800.657.0516.

  2. Would this work for flushing Transmission Coolers

    1. Model 33275‑11 is suitable for flushing transmission coolers when used with the correct ATF, fittings, and safe pressure control; it requires 115 VAC/15 A power and must not be used with flammable or hazardous fluids.

  3. will this take water out of hydraulic fluid

    1. This filter cart would not be recommended to use to take water out of hydraulic fluid. If the oil is sitting in a high pressure area, the filter would only be able to take a portion of the water out.

  4. What is the viscosity range that this unit can filter? Such as a Hyd 32,46,68?

    1. The filter would be rated at a maximum of 500 centipoise (15W-40) oil viscosity at 60 degrees or above.

  5. Can you filter hydraulic oil ranging from AW22 - AW68?

    1. The oil filter cart is designed for new oils up to 500 CST (40 W). AW22 has a viscosity of 22.5 CST at 40 degrees C. AW68 will have a viscosity of 66.5 at 40 degrees C.

  10. can the bypass by blocked to ensure all oil is filtered?

    1. The Bypass Valve on the 33275-11 Filter Cart is internal to the pump only to keep it from creating too much down stream pressure. The product being pumped can not bypass the filter.
