    1. The Lincoln Electric Weld-Pak 225i (Model #K5419-1) does not include a foot pedal and uses Lift TIG with Touch Start. For advanced TIG applications, consider the Lincoln Electric Precision TIG 275 AC/DC TIG Welder Ready-Pak, Model #K2618-1 (Item #69276), which is a dedicated AC/DC TIG welder.

    1. The Weld-Pak model K5419-1 can be run by a low THD generator that is 3,000 watts (120 volt) or 6,000 watts (230 volt).

    1. The Weld‑Pak 225i uses 50 mm DINSE connectors and supports lead extensions up to 100 ft when sized to 1/0 AWG to maintain full 225‑amp output.

  5. Where do you get the tig components and welding rod? does it have a gas port?

    1. The TIG torch needed is model number WP-17. The welder does not have a built in gas solenoid. A one piece gas valve is required for using the TIG torch. A K960-1 twist mate TIG torch adapter is required.

    1. The largest size would be 5/32" for the 7018 electrode size. For the 5P electrodes, you can use up to a 5/32" diameter.

    1. Duty cycle is a specification that indicates how long a welding machine can operate at a specific amperage before needing to cool down. A 30% duty cycle means the welder can run at the rated amperage for 3 minutes out of every 10 minutes. The remaining 7 minutes are used for cooling to prevent overheating and protect the machine's internal components.

  10. What is the welders draw amperage? We are trying to figure out how big of a generator is needed

    1. At 230 volts it would have an amp draw of 28 amps. At 120 volts it would have a 15 amp draw.
