    So, you mean, with the use of a spool gun ? Can you elaborate (tig option?).

    1. You can add Lincoln Electric LN-25 PRO and LN-15 acoss-the-arc wire feeders for use with a variety of wire electrodes. You can expand to AC TIG welding with the optional Square Wave TIG 175 or Invertec V205-T AC/DC for aluminum and other alloy welding.

You can add productivity to your Ranger 225 with self shielded flux-cored CV wire welding by adding the Lincoln Electric LN-25 PRO and LN-15 acoss-the-arc wire feeders for use with a variety of wire electrodes. And, also you can expand to AC TIG welding with the optional Square Wave TIG 175 or Invertec V205-T AC/DC (powered by the AC generator power from the Ranger 225) for aluminum and other alloy welding.

  2. Generator or Welder ?

    You state that the welder/generator does not have the capability to be used as a backup generator for a home. So why does the listing indicate GENERATOR? Because if the lexicon of "generator" is used only for the welder to run it is misleading

    1. Yes, the welder/generator does have the capability to be used as a backup generator for a home, but a standby generator would be a better option. An emergency home standby generator system can automatically restore power to your house in about 20 seconds. When the power goes out, the generator automatically starts and continues to run until power is restored. Please see below for a great option.

    2. Our professional opinion is that It will work as a standby generator for the home. Not sure who answered that previous question that it would not work, but as the manufacturer we do say that It will work as a standby generator for the home, as well as an AWESOME welder!

    1. The welder/generator would have one 50 amp 120/240 volt NEMA 14-50R receptacle and two 20 amp 120 volt NEMA 5-20R receptacles.

    1. The Lincoln Electric Eagle is made for consumer use and the Lincoln Electric Ranger is made for industrial use and a heavier duty machine to stand up to everyday use. This is the only differences in the 2 machines.
