One Machine, MANY Benefits!
Versatility to Get the Job Done
The Lincoln Electric Easy MIG 140 is perfect for use in the shop, on the farm, or at home. With simple two-knob control, the multi-process machine is easy to set up for gasless flux-cored welding that delivers deep penetration on thicker steel, or gas shielded MIG welding on thin gauge steel, stainless or aluminum. Its simple plug-and-play option puts you one step away from welding aluminum — just add the Lincoln Electric Magnum 100SG Spoolgun (Item # 44732, sold separately) and you're ready to go.
Making Inroads with an Adjustable Drive
When it comes to advanced performance, the fully adjustable drive system on this welder forges full steam ahead. The easy-turn numeric drive tension indicator identifies optimized ranges for different wire diameters, offering the versatile settings you need to reduce the problem of wire tangling and crushing. A brass-to-brass gun connection enhances conductivity, and the durable cast aluminum gearbox delivers added drive torque and quiet operation.
Proven Performance is in the Arc
The Easy MIG 140 offers proven performance through a forgiving arc that makes dialing in your application easier than ever. The smooth arc starts clean with minimal spatter. Its wide 30–140 amp welding range makes it possible to weld materials ranging from 24 gauge steel to 3/16 inch sheet metal in a single pass. The unit can also weld up to 5/16in. steel using self-shielded Lincoln Electric Innershield wires (sold separately).
Easy To Use
User-Friendly Design
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced welder, the simple design of this machine makes it easy to produce excellent results. The Easy MIG 140 is ready to weld right out of the box; no gas is required when performing flux-cored welding. The simple calibration reference chart on the inside door panel of the machine makes setup quick and easy for any job.
Take-It-With-You Portability
From the lightweight case to the top carrying handle, this welder is designed for easy transport. And to top it off, it's powered by a standard household electrical outlet, so the Easy MIG 140 can weld anywhere 120 volt input power is available.
Ready to Go, Right Away
The Easy MIG 140 comes with everything you need to weld right out of the box. This machine includes a 10ft. cable assembly, a sample pack of contact tips, .025 and .035 sample spools of wire, gas and gasless nozzles, shielding gas apparatus, and a spindle adapter for use with 10lb. and 12.5lb. spools of wire. It also comes with an instruction manual and “how to weld” instructional DVD, making it easier than ever to plug it in and start welding.
Built to Go the Long Haul
Enhanced Quality
Quality components are the first step to quality results. That's why the Easy MIG 140 is designed with a brass-to-brass gun connection, which enhances the conductivity of the machine. The rigid drive system also chips in, aiding wire alignment to ensure super smooth wire feeding. But it doesn't stop there. The cast aluminum body with an enclosed multi-stage gearbox delivers improved torque and quiet operation, making this the complete welder you've been seeking.
Tool-less Changes
The Easy MIG 140's tool-less design creates a hassle-free welding experience. No tools are required for drive roll changeover and polarity changes for MIG or flux-cored welding. This machine is also spoolgun ready; the plug-and-play feature makes welding aluminum a breeze with the optional Lincoln Electric Magnum 100SG spoolgun (Item# 44732, sold separately).
Accessorize Your Welder
Don't Forget to Accessorize
The Lincoln Electric Easy MIG 140 can perform even better with a few handy optional accessories. The Lincoln Electric K2275-3 welding cart (Item# 29995, sold separately) adds easy mobility to the unit, while the Lincoln Electric Magnum 100SG Spoolgun (Item # 44732, sold separately) adds plug-and-play aluminum welding capabilities to the machine. I am not familiar with the term duty cycle. What does it mean when the specifications call out a 20% @ 90 AMP duty cycle?
-
Dracogto· 10 years ago
Duty cycle defines the number of minutes, within a 10 minute period, during which a given welder can SAFELY produce a particular welding current. For example, a 150A welder with a 30% duty cycle must be "rested" for at least 7 minutes after 3 minutes of continuous welding (30% of 10 minutes = 3 minutes). That means, with the EasyMIG 140, it's saying that you can weld for two minutes straight at 90A before needing to rest for 8 minutes.
Helpful?
-
ProductExpert12· 10 years ago
Duty cycle is the amount of time a welder can run continuously before it needs to cool down based on a 10 minute period. In this case, the welder can continuously weld for 2 minutes at the 90 amp setting before it will shut down to protect itself from overheating.

-
WeldingExperts· 10 years ago
2 min out of 10 min. With the welder on high heat the welder will weld aprox 2 min straight and then the thermo shuts the welder off.

Would this welder work for repairs to heavy equipment attachments?
Skidsteer bucket, excavator grapple, hydraulic ram mounting brackets, dump truck bed wear, etc.

What are the power requirements for the unit? Also what size generator would be required to run this unit?
-
ProductExpert37· 3 years ago
The power requirements of this unit are 220 Volt circuit, 50 Amp. This unit would require a 6,500 watt generator.
Helpful?
-
Dracogto· 10 years ago
You'll need 115VAC and a minimum of 20A for the input. When looking for a generator, you'll need one that could provide that amount of current. Otherwise, your welds will suffer from the metal not getting hot enough.

I have a 30 amp breaker installed in my shop with a single outlet for this machine. I use a RV style extension cord when it needs to be moved around. A 20amp breaker will work, but I use it for several hours at a time.
I have used this welder with a 5550 Watt troybuilt generator.Helpful?
