    1. Use a water-soluble cutting fluid for coolant. WD-40 is not recommended, as it is not water-soluble and does not provide the same cooling performance.

    1. This band saw will not cut 8" diameter piping. The maximum capacity is a 7" diameter.

  6. What type of coolant does this machine use?

    1. For aluminum, stainless steel, and other non-ferrous metals, QualiChem Xtreme Cut 251C could be used. It resists the staining and hazing that can happen with other coolants in aluminum. Please follow the coolant manufacturer recommended dilution ratio for the metal being cut.

  7. Can the head be set in the vertical position and be used as an upright band saw? Does it come with an attachment to use as a platform when in the vertical position? I have seen other band saws with this option.

    1. To assemble the bandsaw for vertical cutting, remove the two flat head screws and blade guide cover. Then, install the vertical work table and replace the two flat head screws that were removed. Next, install the table bracket using the pre-installed bolt already set in the casting. Set a square on the table to the side of the blade and adjust the table bracket to square it. Then, place a level on the table and turn the adjustment bolt until the table is level. Finally, close the feed ON/OFF valve to lock the bow in position.
