    1. This filter will act as a moisture separator. It is designed to remove contaminants like dirt, dust, water, oil and particulates before the compressed air reaches the tools.

    1. This filter gets mounted right after the compressor, before any other accessories or tools.

  4. How do remove filter for cleaning?

    1. To clean the filter element and bowl, lift the bowl guard downwards and pull down on the locking piece. Turn the bowl guard by 45 degrees and pull down. Apply general purpose grease on the O rings and other parts. Replace the filter if needed or clean and reassemble. Position the top flange lug portion of the bowl guard to the corresponding slots in the housing. Push the bowl guard fully into the housing. Turn the bowl guard by 45 degrees till the locking piece enters into the housing slot fully.

  6. auto shut off?

    If the compressor is on all the time, how does that affect the "semi automatic" drain feature?

    1. The semi-automatic drain feature does not work if the compressor is on. If the compressor is on the filter has to be manually drained.

  7. Is there a mounting bracket available for it?

    1. Northern Tool currently would not carry a mounting bracket for this filter. It has four 1/2" NPT holes in the top section where the inlet and outlet are located to attach a mounting bracket.

  8. What is the size and thread of the four tapped holes on the body of this filter?

    1. The only threaded fittings on this filter are the inlet and outlet. They have 1/2" NPT threads. There are no other threaded holes on the body of the filter.
