    1. Comes with 2 filters. Disposable not designed to refill

    2. There are 2 filters in the package. When the color changed on the desiccant, the unit will need to be replaced.

  2. What fitting will I need to attach this to my air hose?

    1. This dryer has 1/4" female NPT inlet and 1/4" male NPT outlet connections.

    1. The Milton S1173 can be installed in either airflow direction. There will be a 1/4" female and male NPT connections.

  4. can i attach this directly to my plasma cutter one end and the air hose the other?

    also, silly question, but do I need to remove the little orange plugs either side of the dessicant tube before connecting to the hose/air-tool. It seems like the material inside the tube could blow through into the air tool

    1. The plug is in the dryer to keep moisture from entering until it is used. The plug would be removed at time of installation.

  5. How often should I expect to have to replace these filters/dryers?

    Approximatly how many cubic feet of air passes through the filter/dryer till it needs to be changed or how many hours of run time till it needs to be changed?

    1. The life of the dryer is based on the amount of moisture that's in your compressor and also the ambient moisture levels in the work space. In order to increase the life of the dryer use with a compressor that's properly maintained and work in low humidity.
