This clamp will work like a standard C-clamp, however it will have 3 different adjustability ranges. With the clamp opened you can move the rear adjustment between the different notches. The opening range of the clamp can be adjusted within those adjustment 3 ranges by moving the arm in the middle of the clamp. To move the center arm to a different notch, slide the small knob up on the upper arm, then move the adjustment arm to the desired notch, then slide the small knob back into place.
