    1. This air compressor is shipped with 100% full synthetic oil for optimum performance and long life. We do not recommend laying the compressor on its side.

  6. How does it handle cold weather operation

    1. This pump contains oil and works best in temperatures above freezing, ideally over 40–45°F. Cold weather thickens the oil, reducing its ability to lubricate the compressor properly. This puts extra strain on the pump and motor and could trip the electrical system.

      Cold temperatures can also cause moisture in the air to freeze inside the compressor's tank, lines, filters, and drains, leading to blockages and restricted airflow.

      Switching to 20 wt oil in colder weather may help, but remember to switch back to 30 wt oil in warmer months.
