  1. Does this threader work with galvanized and black iron schedule 40 pipe?

    1. The pipe threader material is 9Cr2 which will not work with black iron schedule 40 pipe. It will work with galvanized pipe.

  8. What type of oil is to be used in this threader? And what type of wheel for the cutter? Not the dye for threads, ( as someone previously asked already) but specifically the cutting wheel?

    1. Conventional cooling oil can be used for this pipe threader. Please see the manufacturer's recommendations for different applications below.

      Mobil DTE 24 is recommended for medium, high and heavy load threading as well as high-temperature conditions.

      Shell Tellus S2 M 27 is recommended for general load threading.

      Shell Tellus S2 M 29 is recommended for medium load threading.

      Shell Tellus S2 M 33 is recommended for heavy load threading and high-temperature conditions.

      BP HLP 65 is recommended for medium load threading.

      BP HLP 80 is recommended for high load threading.

      BP HLP 100 is recommended for heavy load threading and high-temperature conditions.

      Ridgid Heavy-Duty coolant is recommended for heavy load threading.
