  1. Can this model  have a remote thermostat ?

    1. The heater has a built-in thermostat and comes with a remote; you can set the temperature from 45° to 99°F, and the unit will cycle at the set point. This model cannot be connected to a smart thermostat because it exceeds typical residential/manual thermostat ratings, and any external device switching the heater must be rated for the heater’s amperage.

  3. Our current heater is very loud when it kicks on, basically waking anyone in our bunkhouse. How does this one compare when it turns on?

    1. The manufacturer does not give a decibel rating on these heaters. The heater is not real loud, but you will get some fan noise when running.

  4. Regarding the King KB ECO 2S. Can I install a plug wired connection, such as that found on a 220V welding plug outlet?

    1. The wiring must be in accordinance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes.

    1. The heater has a built in thermostat and comes with a remote. You can use the remote to set the temperature from 45 to 99 degrees F. The heater will cycle on and off at the set temperature.

    1. This forced air heater is not designed to be connected to any ducting.

  8. How can this be mounted on a wall or ceiling?  Are brackets available for purchase?  If so please provide item # etc.

    1. This heater comes with a universal wall/ceiling mounting bracket. At this time, the mounting bracket is not available to purchase separately. Instructions for mounting are found on page 2 of the product manual.

  9. Is the heater 3 phase or single phase , what size wire is needed to hook in & breaker size?

    1. This heater is single phase. It will require a 70-80 Amp breaker and 4-gauge, 2 conductor(4/2) wire.

  10. is this as efficient as a gas heater?

    is this as efficient as a gas heater? I have 1080 sq ft garage with 12ft ceilings

    1. Electric heaters are considered 100% efficient. This unit will consume 15,000 watts of electricity an hour and produce all of the watts into heat. There is no exact rating for how large of an area this item can heat. The unit can handle approximately 1500 square feet assuming the area is insulated and has 8 foot ceilings.
