  1. Is it better to run the 4inch pipe from the equipment to the dust collector overhead or on the floor under the work table

    1. It is best to run dust collection pipe where it will not cause interference and has the least amount of bends as possible to maximize the air flow.

  2. what bags do these dust collectors use? Is there a part number? Why isnt it listed among the accessories?

    1. The replacement 30 micron bags are part #708636F. Optional 5 micron bags are part #708636MF. Northern Tool does not currently offer the replacement bags for this unit.

  3. Does this just plug in to a 110 outlet

    1. The DC-1200VX single phase dust collectors are rated for 230V Only. The dust collector is not supplied with a plug. Use a plug and outlet rated at least 20 amps. The circuit for the machine should also be protected by at least a 20 amp circuit breaker or fuse.

    1. This filter is not HEPA rated.

  5. can you stack blowers?

    What would happen if you staged a 1hp blower blowing into a 2hp? Would you increase the amount of air going through the dust collection system?

    1. It would not be recommended to have a 1 HP blower blowing through a 2 HP dust collector. They are not designed to be stacked.
