  2. How do you bleed air from Hydraulic system

    1. Loosen the bleed screw 3-4 rotations. An illustration of the bleed screw location can be found on page 8 of the Product Manual. The manual is located below the Product Summary on the web page.

  3. Rebuild kit for this log splitter. For the hydraulic cylinder and pump.

    1. At this time, we do not offer a rebuild kit, but individual parts are available through our sister company, Jacks Small Engines. The parts diagram and list can be found on pages 15-16 of the Product Manual found below the Product Summary on the web page.

  4. what kind of hydraulic fluid that you use with this machine

    1. The following hydraulic oils are recommended: Shell Tellus 22, Mobile DTE 11, ARAL Vitam GF 22 or BP Energol HLP-HM 22.

  5. How does a person add hydulet fluid in it

    1. To replenish the hydraulic oil, unscrew the oil drain bolt and remove it. Next, turn the log splitter up on the motor side and refill with fresh hydraulic oil according to the 0.6 gallon capacity. Clean the surface of the dipstick on the oil drain bolt and put it back into the oil tank while keeping the log splitter vertical.
      Make sure the level of the oil is between the two grooves on the dipstick. Then, clean the oil drain bolt before rethreading. Make sure it is tightened to avoid leakage before returning the log splitter to a horizontal position.

    1. After both hands release the controls, the log pusher will return to its starting position.
