  1. Will this cut Corrugated Steel Roof Panels?

    I'm concerned that the video only shows flat sheet metal. Can it cut up and down the rise of corrugated steel roof panel? They are 22 gauge steel panels.

    1. yes, rotating the head makes cutting corrugations easier

    2. it would be very hard to cut roof material across the ribs, cutting between is not problem, but across would not work very well

    3. I believe the shears are only made for straight cuts on flat metal. I have difficulty with small radius and 1/4 inch breaks in cold rolled steel in my body shop fabrications.

    4. I used it on corrugated panels. If the dips in the metal are not too narrow or deep it should work. You may have to flip the panel to continue the cuts but I didn't have to.

    5. The Ironton Electric Metal Shear is recommended for use on flat sheets, it will cut the ridges of the corrugated steel it is just a slower process.
