I am answering my own question. I chatted with Nichole from Northern Tool. She called Milwaukee direct, and YES it will cut 1.5 Inch PEX. The question may have sounded unnecessary; however, before spending about $200.00, I wanted verification.

How Thin and straight will the SHear Cut?
I'm looking to use this tool to shear 1 1/4" diameter pvc pipe in .125" thkness and shear surfaces parallel within .010"
