  1. Minimum log size?

    I need to shorten some firewood for a small fireplace, so question is to whether this will work for that. Specifically, logs circa 18" long and 3" wide.

    1. Yes, It should easily handle that size. The middle cross piece is not in the center, for some reason, so you have two sizes to pick from. I just put the log where it looks right and cut between the cross pieces. It is a very fast and easy way to get the job done without bending over and keeping your saw out of the dirt.

    4. The middle legs can be located closer or further from the other legs. It will allow you to cut as short as 14".

    5. This adjustable sawhorse is designed for use with logs up to 10" diameter. There is no minimum log diameter requirement.

    1. No, and it is a challenge, but worth it because this has made cutting up wood a lot easier.

    3. No, it requires assembly and the instructions are not very clear. However, you do have a picture of the product and a parts list of the pieces with a view of the parts mating>

    5. Assembly would be required on the sawhorse. The assembly instructions are listed on page 6 of the product manual shown on our website.

  5. What is the length of the space between the Vs? I need to cut firewood down (from around 20") to 16" - for a small woodstove. If the space is too wide, and my wood will fall through, this won't work.

    1. When adjusted to the widest setting, the width between the jaws would be roughly 15.75" and when adjusted to the shortest setting, the width would be roughly 11.8".
