  1. Do I need to prime this pump?

    I want to use on my car. Do I need to pour oil in the hose first?

    1. No, it is self-priming as-in it will suck the fluid. I used it to extract engine oil, heated up a little so it was not too viscous.

    1. I wouldn't see ant reason why not, I use mine to pump it all of the time. This I only pump about 15 to 20 gallon at a time. I don't know if the pump would over heat if you pumped 55 gallon or more at a time. at 20 gal. it doesn't get warm.

    1. No. Absolutely not. Water is not a lubricant, and this pump needs oil to lubricate it and to survive.

    1. The outside diameter of the oil inlet hose is 6mm. The outside diameter of the oil outlet hose is 12mm.

    1. This oil extractor pump includes alligator clamps to connect directly to the 12V battery of a vehicle. It suitable for voltages ranging from 10.5 volts to 13 volts. Other voltages can cause damage to the motor and prevent the pump from working.
