  1. I have this pump purchased about 3 years ago. The spark plug threads are ruined on the engine. Is it possible to just purchase a replacement Honda GX160 engine and attach to the pump?

    1. The replacement Honda engine is model number GX160UT2TX2 (item number 605913).

  2. what threads do the suction and discharge have?

    1. The pump will have cast iron NPT (national pipe threaded) ports.

  3. I plan to use this for fire protection using a 1" hose, I assume if the nozzle is shut off there is a bypass or something to allow the discharge to be safely shut off?

    1. Shutting off the nozzle on the discharge line will build pressure and damage the pump. There is not an internal bypass on the pump.

  4. Will this pump 2-4-D occasionally?

    1. The IPT High Pressure Pump is not designed to be used with 2-4-D.
