  3. What is the weight of the trimmer? (not ship weight)

    All I can find is the shipping weight. What is the weight of the trimmer with trim line?

    1. I have the cutter and can't tell you the weight but the harness that it comes with is adjustable and holds the weight so your arms don't get tired.

    2. The weight without the line is 9.9 pounds. It was not available including the trimmer line.

  4. Does this Husqvarna 223R Straight Shaft Brushcutter come with a saw blade or just a grass blade?

    What is maximum size (diameter) brush that it will cut and how close to the ground will it cut?

    1. Looks like a grass blade when you zoom in on the brush cutter
      Most brush blades are 12" in Dia.

      If you use a saw tooth blade, the second you hit the ground your going to dull the cutting edge.

      If you want the brush gone for good dig up the roots or pull it out, If you pull it out leave enough to grab with one of the pullers that Northern sells.

    2. The Husqvarna 223R Straight Shaft Brushcutter comes with a grass blade head, a line trimmer head, but does not come with a woodcutting(saw) blade. The grass blade does not list a maximum diameter but is designed to cut through coarse grass only. The manufacturer(Husqvarna) does not recommend using a woodcutting blade with this model.

    I like to use one of the additional types of string trimmer heads. Can I replace the one on the Husqvarna with this one?

    1. Yes, instructions for fitting other guards and cutting attachments can be found on page 13 of the manual.

    1. The Husqvarna Brushcutter does have adjustments that can be made to the carburetor for running properly in certain conditions. This should be done only by a skilled technician.
