  1. Does the power rating (1/3 hp) refer to hydraulic or electrical power?

    Even if the power rating refers to the hydraulic power, which takes into account the rated efficiency of the pump and the motor, a rated current of 10 A seems excessive even if the motor has a poor power factor.

  2. What is the max temperature rating and can it handle corrosive and highly alkaline liquid?

    1. The maximum temperature rating for this submersible water pump is 140 degrees. It cannot handle corrosive or highly alkaline liquids.

  3. At what height[ inches] does pump turn on and off through float switch. Does pump require check valve ? does pump have anti-airlock feature? What is discharge rate at 10 ft of lift?

    1. The pump will turn on at 13-14 inches and turn off at 2 3/8 inches. When the discharge pipe is long, a check valve should be employed to prevent the water from flowing back into the sump when the pump turns off. If the discharge is directed into a sanitary sewer, a suitable anti siphon device or a free flow check valve should be inserted in the line to prevent back flow into the pit. You will need to drill an 1/8" relief hole in the pipe 5" above the pump connection. This hole prevents the pump from air locking. The discharge rate at 10 feet of lift is approximately 33 GPM.
