Not really. While it might survive a second or two, deadhead time puts extreme stress on the pump and can cause damage not covered under warranty. -Robert@Honda

What it the runtime on a single tank of fuel?

Because there are too many variables involved, there is no specification on the run time published for this water pump, by the manufacturer

Sorry, but Honda does not publish run-time specs for this model. I checked with a model engineer, and he tells me it is because there are too many variables that can effect the run time. Amount of total lift for both the suction and discharge hoses, elevation of the pump (all gasoline engines make less power at higher altitudes), type of strainer, etc. All these things will effect the fuel consumption. I can tell you a 4-stroke motor is generally efficient, and the tanks size is suitable, providing a reasonable fuel supply for this application. -Robert@Honda

A spark arrestor is not included with this pump, but is available as an accessory part. You can order it from any Honda dealer, or request it be ordered and installed on a new pump.

Can it pass pea gravel?

The pump is not recommended for pumping pea gravel or large solids. You would need a semi-trash pump or a trash pump for pumping pea gravel.

Can the 1.5” hose be reduced to attach to a 3/4” garden hose ?
1 answer-
It is not recommended to reduce the discharge hose size as it will cause back pressure and damage the pump over time.

Can the discharge hose be converted down to connect into a 3/4" garden hose?

You would be able to use an adapter to convert the water pump from a 1 1/2 inch port to fit a 3/4 inch garden hose.
