  5. Does the shaft on this engine have a keyway slot on both sides of the shaft, with one side accepting of a woodruff key and the other side fully slotted?

    1. The GXV160UH2A12 shaft has two Woodruff key slots, one on each side; however, it does not include a full-length keyway.

  7. Does this engine have the driveshaft provision coming out of the rear for the self propelled option on Honda push mowers?

    1. The engine will have a single step down shaft. The shaft will start out at 1" and half way down it will step down at a right angle to 7/8". The overall length of the shaft is 3 3/16".

    1. The keyway is a #6 Woodruff key (5/32" X 5/8").

  10. What is the suggested idle RPM for this engine

    I need to purchase a clutch to use with this motor and need to know idle RPM.

    1. The idle RPM is 1,700 +/- 150 RPM. This engine is not recommended for use with a clutch because it has a built-in flywheel brake.
