Lightweight cast aluminum construction makes unit 20% lighter than similar pumps and comfort grip handle provides maneuverability. 12V DC motor delivers flow rates up to 8 GPM for gasoline, diesel fuel and kerosene.   1. Is it OK for this be permanently mounted in a toy hauler to replace the GP-EZ8rv by cutting off the alligator clips and hard wiring it?

    1. It would not be recommended to cut off the alligator clips on this transfer pump. Any alterations to the pump would void warranty.

  2. What is the diameter of the suction strainer?  I need it to go into the large hole on a 55gallon drum.

  3. Does this pump turn off when the nozzle is closed and the hose is pressurized or does it keep running?

    1. The pump does keep running when the nozzle is closed, it would need to be shut off with the switch.

  5. What makes this pump work with Gasoline, where most others do not?

    1. The internal components are designed to handle gasoline (up to 15% alcohol blends such as E15), diesel fuel (up to 20% bio diesel blends such as B20) and kerosene. Other chemicals may damage the pump components and void the warranty. The pump will also include Buna-N electrically conductive hose.

    1. The pump is not designed to be operated upside down.

  8. Will it work in a vertical position?

    1. No, the bearings are installed at specific points along the motor armature shafts and have only been tested while running horizontally. Running the units vertically will produce unknown variables and could create unusual wear patterns within the armature bearings while the armature is spinning.

  9. is the pump waterproof?

    I would like to install it on a trailer but it needs to be handle the elements

    1. This pump can handle the outdoor elements including rain. Waterproof would mean it could be submerged in large bodies of water and it is not rated for that but rain is just fine.

  10. Can this be used with a 5 gal. fuel can?

    Need to keep fuel can on the ground and use a pump as I have trouble holding it over a John Deere 2320 tractor. the filler is about 4' off the ground & I don't think the battery operated ones can pump that high.
