  1. What is the DB level of this unit?

    Looking to understand the noise generated by this unit, and cannot find the documentation anywhere?

    1. Ther eis no industry standard on measurement determining distance enclosure etc. It is about the same as my honda lawnmower which I estimate based on my phone Db app to be about 72 to 75 db. You can talk over it pretty easy at 10 feet. but it is nothing like the really quiet inverter units by Honda

    3. Because there is no industry standard for testing sound levels on portable generators, we do not currently list a decibel rating for any of our portable generators. The units utilize an open engine, so they can be noisy, but are comparable to other generators of similar size.

    1. To visually determine whether the unit is brushed or brushless, a brushless unit will have a capacitor inside the end of the alternator assembly. This capacitor will look similar to a soup can. If this capacitor is not there, that means the unit is brushed.
