As long as the generator is sized appropriately for your particular application, the RTSY200A3 transfer switch is compatible with all current permanently installed 1-phase, 120/240v Generac brand generators featuring our Evolution or Nexus controllers. Furthermore, none of Generac’s portable generators are compatible with the RTSY200A3 transfer switch. We recommend working with a local certified dealer to ensure that you are utilizing the proper transfer switch for your desired configuration.

What is the maximum startup delay?
The documentation stated that the factory default start-up delay (after power outage is detected) is 10 seconds. Can a longer delay be programmed to prevent nuisance start-ups in areas with frequent short duration (i.e. 5 minutes) power losses.

Start up delay is a 10 second factory set, adjustable between 2-1500 seconds by a qualified dealer.

which transfer switch should I use?
I have a 2008 17 kw guardian that I need a 200 amp switch for. My house is all electric with one central heat and air unit. I want to be able too power the whole house if needed, but my main concern is the heat pump, fridge, and freezer, just in case the power goes out while we are away. which transfer switch would be best, with the least amount of wiring?

where are the knockouts on the box? what sizes?

The transfer switch has 3 knockouts on it. One in the back top center is a 1 1/2" and 2" knockout. One on the left side at the bottom, if facing the box, it has a 1 1/2" and 2" knockout. The 3rd knockout is in the center on the bottom and is a 3/4" and 1" knockout.

This does not feature any pre-wired circuits. The switch is designed to be installed prior to the home’s main panel to provide whole-house protection for your backup power needs.
