  1. Your advertisement says that a battery is needed, but not included. What is the battery for and what type battery is required if I need to provide this myself?

    1. The generator will need a battery to provide power to the generator engine starter when a power outage occurs. This generator will require a 12 volt, Group 26R 540 cold cranking amps minimum, or Group 35AGM battery with 650 cold cranking amps minimum.

  2. What diameter gas supply line is required?

    1. Generac lists 1 inch line is the most common. This can vary based on the length of the pipe needed.

  3. Do I need a 100 amp automatic transfer switch or a 200 amp a automatic transfer switch to feed into my 200 amp electrical panel in my garage?

    1. As the transfer switch included with this generator is a load center transfer switch, it can be used. Load center switches do not have to be sized to your entire panel, because they only power certain circuits. Please check with your local electrician to see what is best for your application.
